I found out that, there are a few of you who do not know about the "WoW Funeral Raid Massacre".
For those of you who are unfamiliar, this is one of the largest WTF moments in all of WoW history.
On the Illidan server, a woman who played for the Horde passed away in real life. Her guild found out about her death and were all deeply upset over her passing. To honor her memory, the guild decided to hold a special in game service as a final tribute to thier beloved guildmate in Winterspring, her favorite area.
The guild contacted Blizzard, who agreed to have a special event in which the guild members would each toss a flower into Lake Winterspring. The guild also made post on the forums, asking anyone who would like to pay their respects to attend the service. However, some of the post were met with ridicule, as Alliance players slandered and discerned the Horde Guilds service as a sham.
These Ally players saw the funeral as a great opportunity to slaughter Horde players. The Ally guild known as "Serenity Now", decided to take action.
On the day of the funeral, the Horde players showed up unarmed with Flower items in a single filed line. Serenity Now had placed a spy amongst their the Horde ranks. The spy filtered information on each Horde char's class, level, and spec as Serenity Now made its way to the funeral.
The Alliance slaughtered all the Horde players in attendance that day!
Im happy to say Serenity Now was banned, and slandered by other players for their actions.
However, they were sick enough to record the whole thing and put it on youtube for the whole world to see.
